Greatest Moments at Yankee stadium 1922-2008

  1. Babe Ruth's arrival in 1920, saving baseball after "The Black Sox Scandal"
  2. Ruth's entire career as a Yankee.
  3. Babe Ruth Day
  4. Lou Gehrig's Farewell Speech.
  5. Derek Jeter's "The Play" in the World Series.
  6. Derek Jeter's entire career, which is still going.
  7. Yogi Berra's Career and witness of all Yankee History, as well as his "Yogi-isms".
  8. Mariano Rivera's career (still going).
  9. David Cone's PERFECT GAME. The single greatest pitching performance in history, and my favorite moment (I was there). Pitched to the sight of Don Larsen and Yogi Berra, Who created the ONLY PERFECT GAME in a world series game. Cone's face saw the baseball gods and he did not cheer or jump like a child, but fell to his knees in disbelief and tears (before being protected by joe girardi (who had worn his glove that was also worn by Yogi for the 1st pitch, thrown by don larsen). More magical than the movie "Field of dreams". Yankee Stadium IS the "Field of Dreams", and the new stadium will continue to be just THAT!
  10. Mickey Mantle's career.
  11. Mickey Mantle's Farewell (which I witnessed).
  12. Joe DiMaggio! Need I say more?!!
  13. "Doc Gooden" -- His No-Hitter
  14. 1951 - DiMaggio and Mantle playing the outfield. Passing the Torch.
  15. 26 World Series, 39 Championships,14 Divisional Championships,14 Consecutive Post-season appearances!
  16. Mr.October's 3 home runs.
  17. Mr.November's 13 Post Seasons (consecutive). The Yankees Would not have 4 World series wins, and countless wins in Post-Season without Him (Jeter).
  18. Don Mattingly's (The Captain) 1st appearance in the 1st wild card series. He hit 500. with 2 Hr's and countless rbi's, offensive and defensive plays. He sunk Ken Griffey Jr. and carried The Yankees. He is in Monument Park and his Number 23 is retired. A TRUE Warrior!
  19. Don Mattingly's 10 Hr's in 8 consecutive games (which will never be equalled as Griffey Jr. Only hit 8 consecutive solo Hr. games).
  20. Don Mattingly's Career.
  21. Whitey Ford's career.
  22. The Unbroken line - Ruth, Gehrig,Dimaggio, Berra, Mantle, Ford, Murcer, Munson, Mattingly,Jeter.
  23. Don Larsen's Perfect Game in the World Series.
  24. George Steinbrenner, Owner and Baseball fan and Genius.
  25. Don Zimmer (The Real Joe Torre).
  26. The families and fans who have walked into Yankee Stadium for 85 1/2 years, and their contributions.
  27. Val Kilmer, Billy Crystal (my relative), Al Pacino, Woody Allen, Gary Cooper, Bruce Springsteen, Nils Lofgren, Richard Gere, Barbara Streisand, Steven Sondheim, and all the actor's and musicians who have come to, watched and supported The Yankees.
  28. The Millions of unforgettable players and moments who have etched their selves in Yankee History (American History).
  29. The retiring of numbers, the monuments, the love.
  30. The Popes and Presidents, Rabbi's (Teacher's) and Statesmen who have participated in Yankee Stadium History.
  31. The Red Sox and Mets for their decisions to give up the best players and worst (who became great) to the Yankees.
  32. The Brooklyn Dodgers and N.Y. Giants for existing! Please come back Dodgers!
  33. The Red sox fans for FOREVER being losers, even your steroid pumped fake World Series win! You still have not won a world series since 1918, and Babe Ruth won it for you as a Red Sox hitter/pitcher! Sorry Losers, sorry, sorry, sorry. YOU are TRULY CURSED! Now it is time for Manny, Diaz and the rest of your "Barry Bondses", who committed perjury and spit on our most sacred sport, took steroids and other enhancers, to go to jail for perjury and poisoning our country's Religion! No one believes you have won an honest game since 1986, except your drunken, retarded, german and irish "fans". Get a REAL team and Real players! You desecrate the red sox greats from Ruth to Rice, Grove to Fisk.
