Martial Arts Movies : Fact and Fake
Most martial arts movies and their stars are fakes! Here is what determines a fake - Use of wires, cgi (special effects), stunt doubles, multi-edited movement, and having no real martial arts backround. One thing that is present in all REAL martial artists films is a slowing down of the camera, and a slowing down of the actual martial arts (as the human eye and camera cannot capture the extreme speed of Real Martial artists. I am not great with computers, but you should see a list after this post of the Greatest Martial Artists and their backround and trivia. I will also include a list of the Best PURE martial arts films (what you see is all REAL). If soft wood, fake cement, or protective dust effect bags are used, it will be mentioned. Just remember,if Bruce Lee truly kicked "Han's" head, he would have been dead instantly, so a dummy head was used. Enjoy and discover the greatest and their films. I am a Master of 3 martial arts, and my preferred "style" is Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee's system without a system (more a philosophy). Martial arts are to be used as a dance,an exercise,and as defense against attack (but only as a last resort!).
