Mickey Rourke is Jewish. Jews have an extra dna strand that no other humans possess. To be Jewish by both Jewish Law and blood, your mother must be jewish or part jewish (even if a convert to another religion). Mickey's mother is 100% jewish and her maiden name is shapiro. Mickey named the well known gym to the stars, Shapiro's. He associates with and is proud of that heritage. Mickey could have been a champion boxer or major league baseball player (watch him hit the 80mph pitches in the batting cage effortlessly in his semi-autobiographical film "Bullet", in which he plays a tough, fresh out of prison, jewish heroin addict/hood. Great film! Rourke has been #1 on the list of Hollywood's Sexiest men 7 times, and an additional 14 times in the UK and Europe. He has been nominated for the Academy Award and won countless prestigious awards (not political). Long before "9 1/2 Weeks", mickey was a top sex symbol. Pretty nice for a jewish kid who grew up in the worst place in florida (though born in new york). Mickey sends "Happy Holidays" cards, not Xmas cards (I know as I have one). I kept him off the poll of "Sexiest Jewish Actors/Actresses", as he would probably win by a mile. I can't wait to see all Phillip Andre Shapiro Rourke's upcoming films!
